Copyright Infringement Notice Procedure

FNF Online respects the rights of game creators, musicians, artists, mod teams, publishers, and other copyright owners. Friday Night Funkin has a large fan community, and many pages across the web involve remixes, fan art, gameplay references, embedded players, screenshots, and character-based mod projects. If you believe material available on this site infringes your copyright, please send a clear notice through the contact page so it can be reviewed carefully.

What to Include

Please include your name, contact information, identification of the copyrighted work, the URL or page title where the material appears, and a description of why you believe the use is not authorized by the rights owner, its agent, or the law. If you represent a company, studio, musician, artist, mod team, or other creator, please identify that relationship. A helpful notice points to the exact page and explains the specific material at issue, such as an image, title, playable source, text, audio reference, or other protected work.

Good-Faith Review

We review notices in good faith and may remove, disable, edit, replace, or add attribution to material when a request appears valid. We may also ask for more information if the report is unclear, points to the wrong page, lacks ownership details, or does not identify the protected work. The goal is to handle real rights concerns without removing unrelated fan discovery pages by mistake.

Review Process

After a notice is received, the relevant page may be checked for the reported material and any related source information. If the issue is limited to a thumbnail, description, link, or embedded game source, the affected item may be changed while the rest of the page remains available. If the issue affects the whole page, the page may be removed or disabled. Timing can vary depending on the clarity of the request and the amount of review needed.

Counter Information

If a creator, uploader, or rights holder believes material was removed by mistake, they may contact us with context, ownership details, permission information, or corrected attribution. We are not a court and cannot resolve complex ownership disputes, but we can review practical site-level issues and update pages when reliable information is provided.

False or Abusive Notices

Please do not submit false claims, automated complaints, competitor takedown requests, or reports about content you do not own or represent. Abuse of the copyright process may delay review or cause the request to be rejected. Clear, specific, good-faith notices are the fastest way to resolve a real problem.

Contact Route

Use the Contact page for copyright notices and include "Copyright" in the message subject or first line. Include the page URL and enough detail for review. If the issue is urgent, make the specific material easy to identify so the report does not depend on guessing which part of a game page you mean.

Examples of Useful Detail

A strong notice might say that a specific image on a specific FNF mod page belongs to your team, that an embedded game source should no longer be linked, or that a description incorrectly attributes a character or song. A weak notice only says "remove this" without identifying ownership or the exact material. More detail helps us avoid mistakes and respond faster.

Scope of This Procedure

This procedure is for copyright and related content rights concerns on FNF Online. It is not the right route for general feedback, broken gameplay, ranking complaints, or requests to promote a mod. Those messages can still use the contact page, but they should be labeled clearly so copyright reports remain easy to review.

When a report is resolved, the result may be removal, replacement, attribution correction, link update, or no change if the notice does not provide enough support. Each review depends on the specific page and material reported.
